LUCKY FOR ME, SEALKIDS HAD THEM

If you have a child with special needs, you know the biggest challenge is often finding programs to help your child overcome and manage their unique needs.

For families in the Navy SEAL community, long deployments mean one parent has to shoulder the burden of the work in finding special needs programs and academic support for their child.

Thankfully there is the SEALKIDS Specialized Need Program, which includes individualized therapies and curriculums for children with challenges like autism, dyslexia, and visual processing disorders.

Services offered under this program are not covered, or not fully covered, by Tricare. SEALKIDS steps in to fill this gap. Our network of service providers are experts in their fields, they know how to help children with special needs.

Our Specialized Needs Programs is tailored
to meet the needs of each individual child.

Our goal is to help Navy SEAL kids overcome their barriers to achieving success in school.
Success in school helps children gain more independence outside of the classroom.

The National Center for Learning Disabilities states that at least 1 in 5 children in the U.S. have learning or attention issues (http://www.ncld.org/).

According to the most recent data from the U.S. Department of Education 14% of students ages 3-21 enrolled in public schools during the 2017-18 school year were served under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), with more students receiving services for a specific learning disability than any other type of disability (nces.ed.gov).

Children in the Navy SEAL community struggle with learning disabilites just like other children, but they require help from experts who understand the additional challenges brought on by military life.
